Tummy tuck scars are usually hidden in most styles of swimwear, underwear and low cut jeans. Every person is different however, and clothing styles change. It’s a good idea to bring some swim bottoms and underwear with you when you meet with your doctor so that the pre-op markings can be customized to you.

For most patients, the scar from a tummy tuck can be placed low enough so that the tummy tuck scar is hidden by underwear and bathing suits. Once in a while, there isn’t enough extra skin to make the scar as low and the scar winds up a little higher. Ask your doctor where they would think you are on this scale.
